The presence of metal constructions in the affected area. During the rf-facelift often – these are “golden threads” and dental implants (metal braces and crowns in most cases, are not a contraindication), when exposed to the abdomen – intrauterine devices with silver and copper. Under the influence of radiofrequency electromagnetic metal objects can become very hot and cause a burn to surrounding tissues.
Inflammatory or infectious process, damage to the skin at the site of exposure. Carrying rf-lifting is possible only on healthy skin. If the pustular elements, acne or other inflammatory elements are present in the area of intended impact, the procedure may contribute to the spread of infection, and the enhance of the inflammatory processes.
Benign tumors of the skin and subcutaneous fat. Including moles (pigmented nevi) is protruding above the surface of the skin and flat. If moles are singular (as everyone has them) – during the procedure they are easy to be “ignored.” If there are so many moles that a doctor can not fully perform the procedure, it is necessary to abandon it. Also is contraindicated the large number of moles on the same side of the treated area, because the rf-effects should be the same on both sides of the body, otherwise the lifting effect is asymmetric.
During menstruation the rf-lipolysis in the abdominal area is not carried out, because the increase in blood circulation in the subcutaneous fat can lead to reflex increase in uterine blood flow and strengthen the bleeding.
Previously held lipofiling; the presence of adipose tissue in the area of exposure, artificially introduced into the skin with cosmetic purposes. Due to the effect of the rf-lipolysis fat may dissolve prematurely.
After the surgery (cesarean section, plastic surgery) holding rf-therapy is useful only when the soft tissue stabilization and the completion of the formation of scars – not earlier than 6 months after the surgery.
Pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device. Despite the fact that the electromagnetic effect only occurs directly under manipula to a depth of 2 cm, the implanted electronic devices are contraindication for any medical and cosmetic procedures, during which the electromagnetic fields arise. This is due to the potential risk of damage to an implanted electronic device.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding. Since clinical trials in pregnant and lactating women is prohibited in all countries, data on the safety of radio frequency exposure is confirmed only in relation to women outside the period of pregnancy and lactation. Pregnancy – is such a state of the woman’s body at which any interference in its functioning should be carried out only when necessary. Skinlift, or the fight against cellulite is not a necessity. Carrying rf-lift is advisable not earlier than 1-3 months after the birth.
Cancer is a contraindication for any physiotherapy. RF-lifting improves blood flow and accelerates cell division, it can also occur in tissues affected by a tumor, causing its growth.
Chronic diseases in the stage of decompensation. Hepatic, renal, cardiac or respiratory failure decompensation (when an organ or system exhausted all its possibilities). In these diseases, any increase in the load on the organs and body systems are contraindicated. And during rf-lift, such loading occurs: on the cardiovascular system – due to increased blood flow in the area of impact, on the excretory system – due to increased levels of fat breakdown products. For the same reasons rf-lift is not conducted during the acute period of any infectious diseases, and increased body temperature.
Childhood and adolescence. Clinical trials confirming safety of the method during the procedures for children have not been conducted. Therefore, in the age of 18 the rf-therapy is not administered.
